For the love of all things football, put the Favre rumors DOWN.  With him being on the Jets’ roster, albeit retired reserve, he was taking up cap salary space that they desperately needed.  The obvious thing to do was to let him go. In my completely qualified opinion, I believe he’s done.  That being said, Favre is my favorite QB.  Ever.  Yeah, I know, shut up.  And I would love for him to come back for just one more year, even just one more day if he could just retire with the Packers. But he ain’t comin’ back, so hush with all the rumors.  Thatisall. I think it would be mighty cathartic if Green Bay offered Favre the ol’ one day contract so he can retire a Packer. Bring the two sides back together, so we can all forget about this season and just remember him as the Gun Slingin’ Wrangler Wearin’ Green Bay Packer of Old.
